Just a little excerpt from my Healing Ministries paper:
The manifestation of healing is an act of faith. It is only by grace through faith that we are able to abide in this anointing that the Lord has placed on the inside of us. The healing ministry is best defined in Mark 16:15-18, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (King James Version). The operation of the healing ministry is a manifestation of being obedient to the commission in which Jesus Christ left for us, His body, to work and live in. Those who receive healing gain a new found hope in Jesus Christ and in His ability to be faithful, as promised in Jeremiah 30:17 “But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord.” There would be no healing ministry without the example of the disciples obeying and going out among the unsaved world and declaring freedom from pain and sickness through the price that Christ paid for us with His own blood. Healing ministry is the fulfillment of God’s desire for His children to walk in wholeness and in His health. Many people tend to view the demonstration of healing ministry as mainly the laying on of hands and prayers of intersession when the healing ministry holds so much more power than that of just the physical. When we operate in the manifestation of healing miracles, we are fulfilling the great commission in which Christ sent out before us.
